The solstice is the culmination of the summer season when the earth, in its course around the sun, is positioned vertically to the star of the day. The sun is found at the zenith, the highest in the sky, and offers the earth its longest day of exposure to its powerful rays of light. It is therefore the shortest night of the year. And it only lasts a day, a moment, before the earth begins the downward rotation of its annual cycle, until the winter solstice.
The solstice is the time of year when solar energy is strongest. The star opens a portal of immense power, so that everything is light.
It is a phase of intense transformation where the energies work in depth to take us through a passage of cleansing, purification and great liberation. The star highlights everything that is not in alignment with our soul to overcome our limiting beliefs and light our inner bonfire.
Intense emotions and realizations can shake us up. The summer solstice works on opening the heart, to make it flamboyant, to heal it and to radiate it with the joy of life.
